For the most part, fans of the
fashion industry have a distorted vision of how it actually is in reality.
Regardless of all we see on the outside, in the world of fashion not everything
that shines is gold.
When we look at a magazine or a
catwalk we think about the models, in the way they look like recently taken out
of a box dolls; but we do not tend to think about all that they have to go
through to get to that point.
The ideal for the “perfect” women is
someone tall and thin, but we fail to realize that beauty lies on the inside,
not the outside. And are those ideals the ones that make it so that each time
more teenagers suffer diseases like anorexia or bulimia. By recent studies, the
girls situated between the ages of 16 and 18 years old, are the ones that more frequently
suffer from illnesses of this kind.
In my opinion, I think that we
should be more aware that perfection does not exist and that we do not have to
be slaves to the society that surrounds us.
